COMPANY HISTORY

Townsend Learning was founded in 1969 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Years later, the company opened a branch in downtown Cleveland, and in 2004, the Chagrin Falls branch was sold and its name changed to Chagrin Townsend. WHO WE ARE

CTLC tutors come from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds and span a wide range of ages as well as specific academic specialties. Students and tutors are paired based heavily on these specialties, backgrounds and personalities to create the most positive, comfortable learning environment with each meeting, starting with the very first.

SPROUTING FINE MINDS

Students of all types have worked with CTLC in the past and we look forward to expanding our client base in order to share our proven methodology with a wider group of learners who need specific help. Primarily, however, we see the work of tutoring as one component in an individual’s life-long process of learning and developing. Oftentimes, it is in tutoring sessions where learning curves are the steepest and students can make strides not otherwise possible in traditional classroom settings.
